Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer to tell your story. Thank you for welcoming me into your special and beautiful moments. I don't take this honor lightly. I get it, preparing a family for a photo session can be overwhelming. I'm here to help!

I. BEFORE OUR SESSION

Choosing the perfect wardrobe is an equally important aspect of your session as location! I recommend starting to plan your outfits weeks before your session. I suggest staying within neutral colors when choosing your and your family's wardrobe. The colors that photograph timelessly are white, cream, blush, tan, and light blue.

Try to stay away from bright colors like orange, red, or bold patterns. Blouses and dresses with flowing and draping material photograph well and create beautiful movement. Minimal and understated patterns and prints work best when limited to two family members. No logos or words on your clothing!

Where to start? Start with mom's outfit and build the family's wardrobe around that. For baby girls, I have seen that bubbles/diaper set is easier to have them in as you are trying to hold them and pose.

For newborn sessions, please make sure your baby is fed before our time together. Newborn sessions take time, so relax and enjoy it. If your baby is having a hard time, no worries! We can always take feeding breaks. Pull out your neutral swaddles ahead of time or let me know if you need one!

II. DURING OUR SESSION

Now that you're ready for our session, what will it look like? You and I will select a location and meet there a few minutes before our session start time. We'll let your kids be kids, your babies be babies and let you be you! I will prompt some poses, but our time together will be mostly you and your family playing and loving on one another. Your photos should feel natural and unique to you. Think of it as quality family time!

III. AFTER OUR SESSION

Your gallery will be ready 2-4 weeks following our session. I will email you when they are ready, where you'll be led, step-by-step, through your online gallery. Now, you can share your beautiful photos with all your friends and family!
